Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was
hungry. Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found
nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear
fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered. When the disciples saw
this, they were amazed. “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they
asked. Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not
doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you
can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will

Matthew 21:18-22
Inertia is the resistance of any physical object to a change in
its state of motion or rest, or the tendency of an object to resist any
change in its motion. In order for that object to change from that static state to one of motion there is a requirement for an element of greater force or greater pressure to be applied
Interestingly enough, the word "inertia" comes from the Latin, "iner" meaning "lazy" or "idle". Do you suffer from "inertia"? Maybe it shows itself up in your relationships, work or your general mindset. Jesus had a lot to say about laziness and unfruitfulness. One of my favourites is from the above scripture. Jesus makes it quite clear that unfruitfulness has no place in his Kingdom.Spend a moment to identify the areas in your life that are in need of revitilisation - commit these to God and make a decision to yield yourself to his instructions that are the source of power for change.Batteries not included. Plug into the mains!Prayer Point: My prayer is that men throughout our land will recognise our potential. We would take our eyes off the problems in our lives and look to the Problem-Solver; seeking his heart rather than his hand.
